Gift Guide for the Last Minute Shopper

Ok so maybe you are like me and it hit you hard that Christmas is less than a week away. This happens every year somehow and I’m still not sure what to do about it. My intention was to get all my Christmas shopping done by Thanksgiving this year. That was a joke. I still have a few things to get but thanks to Amazon Prime, it will all be ok!

As I looked over my list though there were a few people I had a really hard time with! I came up with a few unique gifts that I think they will love and wanted to pass them along to you in case you are equally as desperate on these final days.

This Digital Photo Frame is adorable and to be honest, I want one! I have so many cute pictures of my kids that I want to plaster the walls with but since photo wall paper would look a little ridiculous, this is such a great idea! I think literally every grandparent, parent, aunt, or uncle would LOVE this gift. You can grab a USB and fill it with photos in just a few minutes and you have a beautiful, personalized gift they will love. I like this one because the price is lower but the reviews still are great.

For the traveller in your life, check out this awesome travel map! It is so eye catching and would be a great conversation piece in any home. It makes me want to travel a lot more just so I can fill one in!

This adorable color changing coffee mug is perfect for any coffee or tea drinker in your life. It expresses the emotions of my mornings before and after coffee perfectly and I think just about anyone would love it!

These bluetooth ear buds are perfect for anyone with a phone so pretty much… anyone! Add them to the gift of an Audible Membership and you would be top on my list of favorite gift givers!

The Amazon.com Gift Card Yes I know this idea feels a little half baked, the kind of thing you do for someone you don’t know how to buy for but the reality is that pretty much everyone shops on Amazon now and they all love free stuff. If you don’t know what to buy and all of these other great ideas sound like they won’t work, go with the gift card. Save yourself some time and sanity and just go for it. My husband LOVES when he gets Amazon gift cards because he wants to buy books 24/7!

Speaking of books, if you have a reader on your list (and I hope you do!) check out some of my reviews for ideas – Change the World: A Book Review, A Tale Of Redemption: Review of The Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson, and A Story of Love & True Beauty: Review of A Severe Mercy by Sheldon Vanauken

Kid Friendly Gift Ideas

So these ideas may all sound good but what about if you have little ones you don’t know how to shop for? I have about 10 children under 7 on my list and sometimes my mind just goes blank. If you are in that position, check out these great options.

This is especially perfect if you live where it is cold like we do. It can be very difficult to deal with long winters and endless amounts of energy in children. I am hoping this pogo jumper will help! I bought one for my daughter and am anxious to see her try it out! It is great for kids of all ages!

You may think the children in your life are too old for dress-up but.. they probably aren’t. Throughout grade school children love to play dress up. These capes and masks are perfect for imaginative play!

We have these Brain Flakes and love them! Every time I pull them out the adults get right to work. The children love them too but my kids are 4 and 2 and they are still a little too hard for them to manipulate. Instead they pretend the little circles are coins. If you are looking for children over age 6 (or adults!) these are definitely a great option!

For the younger children on your list these Magnetic Blocks are a great idea instead. They are similar to the Brain Flakes because you can build with them but much easier to put together and take apart.

And just because I know some children love to take things apart and put them back together, check out these adorable little dinosaurs. They make cute toys to play with when they are together but also give children the chance to figure out how to build them again and again.

I really hope this list helps you this week! Amazon Prime is saving the day in our house because I can’t imagine shopping with my two crazies when the stores are so busy!
